Sunday Services

Everyone is Welcome

Absolutely everyone is welcome at our church. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t been to church in a while – or never at all – we’d love for you to join us and see for yourselves the difference that Jesus makes.

Coming to church can be daunting, and so below you’ll find everything you need to know about what to expect when you visit. But of course, if you have any questions, we’d love to meet you, so why not get in touch?

"Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts."

Come as you are

One of the things you’ll discover fairly quickly, is that church is full of people who are just like you – so please don’t feel that you need to impress us. There’s no need to dress up or to look a certain way – we’re more interested in getting to know the real you.

Make yourself at home

Our service starts at 9am, but most of us come early to mingle and chat. When you arrive you'll be greeted at the door by one of our friendly welcomers who will be able to answer any questions that you might have.

We do have some priority seating at the back for people with mobility issues and for families with young kids who could use a little extra space, but feel free to sit wherever you're comfortable.

The 'formal' proceedings

While our service has a very relaxed and casual vibe, we’re also convinced that meeting together to encounter God is profoundly life-changing.

Our time together will include prayers, singing, reading from the Bible and hearing a message from our pastor. While we'd love for you to participate fully, you’re perfectly welcome to just sit and watch what happens – there’s no pressure to pray aloud, sing or give money.

What about my kids?

We believe that church is just as much for kids as it is for adults. Which is why we do all we can to help kids encounter Jesus in a way that is meaningful to them.

Our service begins with everyone together, and then after a few songs we have a Kids Talk, where the adults have some fun learning from the Bible with the kids.

What happens next depends on the age of the children.

Kids 3 and under

If you have a baby or toddler you're welcome to stay in church with them, or feel free to make use of the Parents Room where you'll find couches, toys and a speaker to listen to the service.

We know church can be tricky with young kids, but please don't give up. Bleary-eyed parents and noisy toddlers are part of God's family too!

Kids up to Grade 5

Kids Church begins right after the Kids Talk, where pre-schoolers and primary schoolers are able to learn and discover God through stories, music and play.

You're welcome to come down and settle your kids into Kids Church, but rest assured they will be well-cared for by our lovely team of leaders. All of our leaders are approved by the Elders and hold current Blue Cards for working with children.

Teens

We encourage teenagers in our church to think seriously about who Jesus says He is, and what that means for their lives.

Our youth are invited to participate fully in our Sunday service, and most weeks we run a Youth Bible study during the sermon where teenagers can read and explore the Bible while being guided by one of our fantastic youth leaders.

Don't rush off

Church is about more than just the service. Church is a community, and so after the service we love to spend time together enjoying fellowship over morning tea.

Taking the time to build deep, meaningful relationships is so worthwhile. It provides so many opportunities to learn from one another, to grow and to help each other keep walking with Jesus.

Still have questions?
We'd love to hear from you!
